Jewish Volunteer Connection (JVC) Helps People Live With Purpose Because of The Associated
Did you know that almost all of JVC’s funding comes from The Associated? Because of The Associated’s support, JVC was able to engage more than 9,500 people in more than 20,500 individual acts of service last year and respond immediately to the current global pandemic.
The generous support to JVC through The Associated’s Annual Campaign and donations received throughout the year help us to:
- Create and deliver 2,000 winter care packages to people in need throughout the Baltimore region on Community Mitzvah Day.
- Offer mini-grants to VolunTeam leaders for supplies to run engaging programs at senior communities, emergency shelters and after-school programs.
- Provide individual and group matching services to people with an interest in volunteering, including more than 200 people since the COVID19 crisis began, streamlining the process of finding the right match and raising the likelihood of success.
- Create a weekly bagged meal delivery program in partnership with a local Jewish day school and two area synagogues, through which more than 8,000 meals have been delivered to organizations in Baltimore city since the middle of March.
- And much more.
The Associated strives year-round to respond to our community’s needs, and also works together with our family of agencies to develop solutions to the challenges we are facing today and in the future.
Thank you for supporting JVC with your donation to The Associated.
